Namibia is a destination where you can easily drive yourself. Everything is well signposted and it is very nice and relaxed driving - also safe. It gives an indescribable feeling of freedom to travel in Namibia with your own jeep! Of course we will give you a detailed route description in addition to GPS. The roads - mostly gravel through the bush - are generally well signposted and maintained. We advise you to take a jeep because a rainstorm can turn a road into a river / pieces where there is more sand on the road, but also general for comfort you sit higher can see better. We offer good jeeps on site with air conditioning. The landscapes are breathtaking and we can customise the itinerary so that you can ride a pleasant distance per day! Of course we can also arrange a guide and driver or a fly-inn safari for you. A combination is of course also possible. A visit to the beautiful red and orange dunes of Sossusvlei is definitely recommended, the enchanting Damaraland, or the Kunene River and Epupa Falls. Etosha national park is one of the oldest parks in safari africa. At Okaukuejo camp in Etosha rhinoceroses are regularly spotted!
Namibia is a land of unprecedented beauty. Many describe their journey through Namibia with a sense of enormous freedom and intense tranquillity. You don't have to worry, of course all customers will be watched, i.e. time arrival of the previous location, if you are late they will call and if desired they will search along your route (since opening of Africa private safaris 2003 not necessary). In some lodges in Sossusvlei you can arrange a Cessna or balloon flight. It's an amazing experience, enjoying a breathtaking view of the undulating sand dunes from the air. The sunrise is a magical experience, especially in Sossusvlei and Namib Naukluft desert a true rainbow of colours. Namibia is a country of immense solitude, endless horizons, dramatic woestein landscapes, pointed mountains; a true feast for the eyes. As night rises and the fresh desert air soaks up, you can enjoy an unparalleled view under an African starry sky! For an example safari or more information:
Here, too, we work exclusively with luxury, exclusive, small intimate lodges/camps. In Namibia, however, we can make a good combination of safari locations (which are always a bit more expensive -because game drives park fees etc. are included) with boutique hotels-small scale -which if desired are cheaper on locations that are not per definition safari locations. We only work with OPEN JEEPS on safari location with experienced local guides, this also goes if you are on self drive- you will go with guides for your safari parts of the trip. You'll see a lot more, because they are on game drive in that area and know the habits of the animals! But especially the bush experience in an open jeep, is so much more intense. Experience the roar of a lion without windows in between, or the bark of a baboon who sees a predator...smell the bush and feel the breeze of the wind in the shade of the roof - so much more pleasant! In addition, taking pictures a lot easier of course in an open jeep. If you wish we can also gladly arrange a fly in safari for you.
We can adjust the distances so that they are nice distances to drive -and not too long for your kids. For very young children Namibia and self drive is less suitable and it would be advisable to choose another destination with fly in (no self drive) and where wildlife is easier to spot. Namibia is beautiful but especially in terms of landscapes in combination with some safari areas but as a self drive less suitable for very young children. For more information
If you wish to end your safari in a super relaxed way, it would be a good idea to do that in Cape Town. That's a great combination! There are great Relais & Chateaux in the wine regions and on the coast. Enjoy refined cuisine and a good glass of wine! Many of these hotels also offer massage & beauty treatments. For golf lovers, South Africa is a Valhalla! We are happy to come up with suggestions!
Everything is arranged into the smallest detail. All you need to to on location, is enjoy nature, relax and tell your guide/manager how you like to spent your day and they will arrange. Unusually you go on morning and late afternoon game drive and you spent the warm hours around noon in the lodge for lunch and relaxation. however full day game drives are also possible on many locations, where you go with packed lunch. It is nice to relax in the lodge when it gets hot, but its can also be rewarding to go out over the hottest time of the day to see species that will usually only hunt during the hottest hours- like for instance the cheetah.
